Timing Cases and Crankcases
There are several different services carried out on Crankcases and timing cases at SRM Engineering.
When having the Needle Roller Bearing conversion work done to your engine the timing cases are used to house the all important Oil seal, which is located in its own alloy block which is mated to the inner side of the timing casings.
Timing cases can be shot blasted and then polished as a pair resulting in a highly attractive shiny silk smooth finish.
At SRM we routinely carry out a variety of engineering odd jobs to numerous to list. Please feel free to enquire if you have any engineering work that needs to be done. Big or small, our engineering staff will always be happy to advise.Crankcases can have a variety of different engineering jobs, ranging from a Bronze insert fitted to the drive side bearing housing (to re-claim worn bearing housings) to having the crankcases jigged and then skimmed top and bottom face.
We can also Alloy weld and Re-fabricate certain areas of your crankcases.
