Engine and Gearbox Reconditioning Service

SRM Engineering offer a Quality and Professional Engine and re-conditioning service for BSA, Triumph and Norton twins. We also recondition BSA Goldstar and “B” Series engines.

SRM Engineering’s policy is to redirect a portion of our annual profits into buying more machinery and tools for our staff, enabling SRM Engineering to always offer the best, most technologically advanced services to all its customers.

The standards for engine rebuilds are extremely high - giving you oil-tight and trouble-free motorcycling whether it be for road or competition. We re-condition on average 250+ engines per year. During our busiest period between March and July - at any one time we can have up to 65 engines in the workshop.

All our engines are assembled in a purpose built dust free room with no machine tools present, this ensures the engine components and the partly assembled engines do not get contaminated.

During the course of this assembly, all the new replacement parts are logged out of our extensive engine component stores.

Note that we can give a strip down and autopsy before we commence work on your engine, it is inspected for wear, damage, problems and assessment.

An estimate is then compiled listing all new parts, engineering work and repairs required include a list of options such as exterior cosmetics and other useful modifications, options such as dynamic balancing, lead free conversion, tuning options etc etc. This allows you to tailor the work to your requirements.

Please note that on an estimate we cannot foresee all problems and further additional work can only become apparent on the final assembly of the engine. It is only a close guide - but we do aim to get it very close.

At SRM, we are able to arrange collection and delivery of everything from your parts to your whole bike using carefully selected specialist courier services. Click here to arrange a collection.
