SRM engineering has its own ‘in house’ section for all types of electrical repairs and restorations on classic motorcycle electrics. Our fully equipped electrical workshop utilises a CRYPTON MAGMASTER (previously restored by SRM) and a larger CRYPTON ELECTRICAL TEST BENCH also able to test magnetos, dynamos and regulator boxes all to full load. In addition we have an Alternator/Regulator test rig specially made for the LUCAS RM21 Alternator and of course the usual array of test equipment such as an HT voltage tester, oscilloscope, variable power supply, strobe and Test meters.

The CRYPTON MAGMASTER has been adapted specifically to be able to measure the ignition spark angle between each cylinder on K2F and K2FC magnetos. We have a lot of experience fitting and using various electronic ignition systems and have suitable test units for each type we supply. Many British bikes suffer from electrical problems, we are able to source these problems whether it be a single faulty component up to a complete rewire of the bike.
